The Women Behind the Smiles
Endodontist
Originally from Venezuela, Dr. Baiz earned her DDS degree at Universidad Santa María in her hometown of Caracas in 2006. She completed her AEGD residency at Boston University and then obtained her Master’s degree in Endodontics, also at Boston University. Endodontics is the branch of dentistry that studies the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of injuries to the dental pulp. Dr. Baiz is fluent in English and Spanish.
Dr. Baiz likes to travel with her husband and baby girl, Clarissa. She is a great cook, especially when cooking Venezuelan food. She is always looking for new gourmet recipes, even for baby food. Dr. Baiz has an identical twin who also lives in Seattle!
Office Manager
Born and raised in Seattle, Angela is the newest addition to the Avila team. She brings more than 25 years of experience in the dental field. She started as a dental assistant, but because she did not like to wear gloves, she decided to work in the front office.
Angela loves spending time with her family, cooking, traveling, and watching stand up comedy. She and her husband Dave like to watch cat videos.

Our Green Office
Digital X-rays
Using digital imaging technology results in our patients being exposed to 90% less radiation and eliminates the need for toxic x-ray development chemicals.
Steam Sterilization
Steam-based, surgical-grade instrument sterilization contains no harmful chemicals and reduces water use. We do not use toxic cold-sterile solutions.
In-office Recycling Program
We recycle as much as we can in our office, reuse packing material, and avoid purchasing plastic bottles or paper cups.
Green Cleaning
We use eco-friendly products for general housekeeping and biodegradable sterilization to keep our examination areas clean.
Amalgam Separator
Installation of a special water filtration system allows for the environmentally sound disposal of old mercury fillings, to prevent pollution of our local waterways.
Cloth, not Paper
We use cloth sterilization pouches instead of disposable ones, which are safe and very effective. Additionally, we use cloth bibs instead of plastic lined bibs.
LED
Our operatory lights use DentalEZ, which is the first in the U.S. to design lights with 100% true direct LED technology.
Paperless
To avoid using paper, we keep all our records electronically.
